On February 5, the Association of American Publishers announced the 2008 PROSE Awards winners for Professional and Scholarly Excellence. Gastronomica: The Journal of Food and Culture is the winner for Best Design In Print (Journals category). Edited by Darra Goldstein and published by UC Press Journals and Digital Publishing, Gastronomica is a refreshing blend of culture and cuisine, inspiring conversation and expanding horizons through an array of stories, articles, and images as diverse and delightful as a worldly feast. In the books division, Dianne Sachko Macleod's Enchanted Lives, Enchanted Objects: American Women Collectors and the Making of Culture, 1800-1940, received an honorable mention in the Art and Art History category.
