On November 10 , 2019, the Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center in Venice, California will be honoring UC Press author Harryette Mullen as part of their 9th Annual Awards Dinner, the Beyond Salon.
Harryette Mullen will be honored for her tremendous achievements in poetry and literature, including her poetry collection, Sleeping with the Dictionary.
Beyond Baroque is an independent literary and art center that is dedicated to sharing poetry, literature, and art with the public through community events and programs.
Inspired by New York’s Algonquin Round Table, the Beyond Salon “will feature tables hosted by a wide array of writers and other artists, cocktails, entertainment, dinner, and poetry.”
Other honorees include executive director emeritus of the Beyond Baroque Foundation Richard Modiano, founder and executive director of Get Lit–Words Ignite Diane Luby Lane, and UCLA professor and writer Johanna Drucker. Tickets for the event can be purchased on their event page.
