Antiracist Admissions
This hands-on guide demonstrates how antiracist admissions policies are an essential component of student representation and success. Data demonstrate that diversity in higher education is critical to student achievement and that law school admissions professionals, as gatekeepers, must affirmatively enact practices that increase access for historically marginalized populations. Contributors to this practical guide, developed in collaboration with the Antiracist Development Institute, draw a causal connection between the importance of access and affordability and the successful onboarding of attorneys from underrepresented groups into the legal profession. Chapter topics range from standardized testing to decriminalizing the application process. Grounded in research and lived experience and filled with concrete suggestions, this volume promises to revolutionize the everyday business of law school admissions by infusing antiracist principles into every aspect of admissions professionals' decision-making.
