UCPubS offers the following services to University of California centers, institutes, and departments producing scholarly research publications:

• book and journal publication (electronic and print)
• pre-print and post-print dissemination (electronic)
• conference proposal management and proceedings publication (electronic and print)
• scholarly marketing: UC Press catalog, bibliographic feeds to publishing industry and libraries, indexing, and search engine optimization
• sales and distribution of print publications: order fulfillment, warehousing/archiving, inventory control, credit and collections, customer service, and accounting
• print on demand
• peer review management
• persistent access and preservation
• sales reports and usage statistics

UCPubS is part of University of California's effort to ensure a sustainable scholarly publishing system that complements the University's research and teaching enterprise. Focused initially on supporting pre-print, journal, and monograph publishing in both digital and print formats, UCPubS will extend its services in the future to publishing support for nontraditional publications as they emerge in disciplines throughout the UC system.

Request a Cover Template (email laura.cerruti@ucpress.edu) - Please include in your email the author, title, ISBN, printed page count (must be divisible by 4) and trim size for your publication. Also indicate the file type you would like to receive (Quark/EPS/InDesign/PDF) and your attachment preference (None/Stuffit/Zip).

*Publication Information Forms are due January 15 for fall catalog (publications that arrive at UC Press the following June through December) and July 1 for the spring catalog (publications that arrive at UC Press the following January through May). Once the title, author/editor name (as it will appear in publication), and ISBN have submitted and approved, they cannot be changed. Late information or revisions to the form may result in inconsistent or inaccurate bibliographic information in our data feeds. However, if you do need to update other information on the form after submitting it, please email laura.cerruti@ucpress.edu your revisions rather than resubmitting the form. It is especially important to keep us apprised of any changes to the projected delivery date of finished publications or final press-ready manuscript files.
