Sales revenue and university subsidy are not sufficient to cover UC Press's annual expenses, let alone to fund new initiatives. Private giving, spearheaded by the UC Press Foundation and its Board of Trustees, fills the critical gap. The UC Press Foundation's support enhances UC Press's ability to:
