Sociology at UC Press
During this fraught political moment, UC Press continues to publish edgy and provocative books that play a role in our understanding of key political and social debates. As a press, we are committed to speaking out and publishing on issues related to Black Lives Matter. Personally, I'm focused on deepening our already impressive editorial program and attracting more Black authors to the Press. I think the list, as a whole, is dazzling, including key new books from Carol Joffe, Juliet Schor and Rene Almeling and award-winning titles by Adia Wingfield, Orly Clerge, Celeste Watkins-Hayes and Tey Meadow. Speaking of which, UC Press will be publishing Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s last book collaboration Justice, Justice Thou Shalt Pursue, in the Naomi Schneider imprint in March 2021. Here’s hoping her spirit infuses 2021 in significant ways.

Meet the Editor
Although we are unable to see you in person, we'd still love for you to "stop by the booth" and meet with us virtually. Want to pitch your book? Come prepared with clear statements of your argument, your audience, and why you want to write this book.
