Introducing the Psychology Program at UC Press

University of California Press is committed to creating positive change in the lives of students and faculty, championing work that influences public discourse and challenges the status quo. With a strong presence in Sociology, History, Anthropology, and other disciplines, we are excited to add Psychology to the disciplines that we serve. At a time when large publishers have narrowed their focus, we plan to develop content that serves our Psychology faculty and students.

Join Us - Become an Author

Our mission is to drive progressive change by seeking out and cultivating the brightest minds and giving them voice, reach, and impact. We believe that scholarship is a powerful tool for fostering a deeper understanding of our world and changing how people think, plan, and govern. We publish general interest books, scholarly books, and books intended for use and adoption in university classrooms. In addition to intermediate and upper division textbooks, we are especially interested in acquiring new books for all audiences that address important social issues (gender, race, conflict, prejudice, relationships, the environment, etc.) from a psychological perspective.

If you would like to consider publishing with us, please read our book proposal guidelines and contact Executive Editor for Psychology, Christopher Johnson.
