11213.160Amiri Baraka, author of Digging, was a finalist for the Lifetime Achievement Award in Jazz Journalism from the Jazz Journalists Association (JJA). At its thirteenth annual awards ceremony last week, the JJA recognized winners and nominees in 42 categories, from the best musicians and records of the year to photographers, writers, and more.
